What We Do

At Cae Felin, we grow nourishing fruit and veg, restore and celebrate biodiversity, offer volunteering and educational opportunities, and provide nature-based activities that support health, wellbeing, and research.

Produce

At Cae Felin CSA CIC, we believe that healthy soil grows healthy food, and healthy food nourishes healthy people. Using regenerative farming methods, we cultivate a wide variety of fruits and vegetables and share them with our community through a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) model.

Cae Felin CSA CIC Veg Box Subscription

We’re excited to offer 20 veg box shares for the 2025 season, available on a first-come, first-served basis.

How it works

Each week during the harvest season — from late spring through to winter — veg box subscribers receive a share of fresh, seasonal produce. Subscriptions can be paid seasonally (better for us and more cost-effective for you) or monthly via standing order.

Subscribers choose how many shares they’d like each week based on the number of people enjoying the veg. A single share is designed to provide enough fruit and vegetables for one person, following NHS “five a day” healthy eating guidelines.

What’s in my box?

Every box is packed with at least five different varieties of seasonal fruit and vegetables, picked at peak ripeness and delivered within 24 hours for maximum flavour, freshness, and nutrition. Our produce comes straight from the field, so it will need a good wash — no plastic, preservatives, or colourants are ever used. Some veggies may look a little “gnarly,” and you might even spot a friendly stowaway like a slug or beetle — a small reminder that this food is naturally grown, chemical-free, and full of life!

Important information

Veg box subscriptions are taken on a shared-risk basis. Harvests depend on the weather, pests, and other natural factors, so boxes may vary week to week. Regenerative agriculture is designed to be resilient, but nature always has the final say.

Please note: Veg box subscriptions are only available to Cae Felin CSA CIC members. Join now to become a member and secure your share!

Whether you’re planting, harvesting, tending the gardens, or restoring habitats, volunteering at Cae Felin is about growing food, community, and wellbeing — all at the same time.

Biodiversity

Biodiversity is essential to a regenerative farming because it underpins the health and resilience of the entire farming system. A diverse range of plants, insects, and microorganisms supports natural pest control, pollination, and soil fertility, reducing dependence on chemicals and external inputs. Biodiversity enhances climate resilience by helping crops withstand extreme weather and disease. It also nurtures a balanced ecosystem that benefits wildlife and local communities. For Cae felin members, biodiversity means more nutritious, varied, and sustainable produce, while strengthening the connection between people, land, and nature — ensuring long-term productivity and ecological harmony.

Wellbeing

Cae Felin reconnects people with fresh, seasonal food, local land, and each other. By eating produce grown locally, members enjoy healthier, more nutritious diets and a deeper understanding of where their food comes from. Cae Felin aims to foster social connection, reducing isolation through shared volunteering, events, and community engagement. We promote physical activity, outdoor time, and mindful living, all of which which support mental and emotional health. Overall, Cae Felin aims to cultivate a sense of belonging and shared purpose through food.

Education

Cae Felin offers valuable educational benefits by providing hands-on learning experiences rooted in sustainable agriculture and community connection. Through practical activities such as growing food, composting, and wildlife conservation, participants gain a deeper understanding of ecology, soil health, and local food systems. The site encourages experiential learning for all ages, linking classroom knowledge with real-world practice. Workshops and volunteer opportunities build confidence, teamwork, and environmental awareness. By engaging people directly with the land, Cae Felin fosters curiosity, responsibility, and respect for nature strengthening the community’s connection to its environment. We are always on the lookout for new partnerships to support our aims.
